GirlBlogZone was made after realizing my intense dissatisfaction with social media, with the way it is constantly trying to steal your attention and turn you into a dopamine addict. Social media has also become dull, there are barely any ways to personalize your page aside from changing your profile picture and adding a description.

I've tried every blogging platform possible, none have given me the freedom I need to create a space tailored to me, with everything exactly where I want it. The existance of likes and reblogs has also taken the fun out of having your own page. Instead of using your page just to share what you love, it becomes too easy to post and expect likes, and become disappointed when you don't get any

The journey of making your own website is what makes it special, you've dedicated effort into everything you see on the screen, making it more precious than any page on social media.

GirlBlogZone is my space to write and share anything I want, where I am not forced to be within a certain category, topic or aesthetic. Think of it not only as a digital diary, but also as a digital commonplace book.

I suppose it would be pertinent to highlight I am of a mixed background, which is something that affects my topics of interest and my struggles. I am also multi-lingual, and enjoy learning the languages of my heritage.

I am neurodivergent, and my hyperfixation is dogs!
